All about our country pub in Worcestershire
About us
Our country pub in charming Ombersley might be home to modern design features and fresh flavours, but you'll find a whole lot of history in every nook and cranny. Timber frames, fireplaces, and walls full of art tell stories from as early as the 15th century.
Tales from the past
Our pub's name comes from a particularly noteworthy moment in history when King Charles II sought refuge here after the Battle of Worcester. To mark the occasion, the inn celebrated Oak Apple Day until about 1914, and even today, the memory is kept alive in the fine plaster ceiling displaying the Royal Arms.
Supporting the local area
We're always keen to support businesses in the area. We work with local companies, Checketts, Wye Valley Brewery, and Knightwick Butchers, and we'll always keep our eyes out for new locals to partner up with. If they're supplying delicious, fresh ingredients, we're all about it.
